I have always been a connoisseur of music games. I have owned obscure Playstation games that have been created only to make music on. http://www.amazon.com/MTV-Music-Generator-Playstation/dp/B00001QER3. Never really a person to play too many "real" video games I was only ever interested in playing videogames that had a creative ingredient (ie: Mario paint). I was a sucker for the Rockband craze that flared up a couple of years ago; I was throughly impressed by The Beatles rockband version that came along as you could do triple harmonies.
In recent month I have been practicing my vocals on a iOS game by Smule called Sing! http://www.smule.com/sing Very cool indeed.
Yesterday I took the plunge with a Xbox 360 game called Rocksmith.
Very cool game indeed. I play gigs regularly and I do get paid to play music, I can honestly say that this game will help me keep up with the guitar. I practice regularly and I work on structured materials to help me explore my guitar. This game is exactly the kind of game that will help some budding guitarist become good at their or some experienced guitarist keep up with their facility.

Composing.
Composing small pieces with rules. I would love to start a daily practice of composing small pieces for piano, violin, trumpet. No bigger than 4-12 bars. failing miserably would be my immediate outcome with the ultimate goal of getting better at it. Here's to a start..

Time away, time to get things in order.
I have spent a fair amount of time away from this blog. I don't care if anybody reads this but I'm going to post stuff here anyway. In the last two years I have distanced myself from my schooling. I would love to use this blog as a stepping stone to re-learn and re-apply what I have learned up until now.
Here are a couple of things I was working on in the last while.
